The first secondary cobalt absorber rod (SCAR) with starting material for the production of cobalt-60* was loaded into the reactor plant of power unit No. 3 of the Kursk NPP. In total, with constant monitoring of the neutron-physical characteristics of the reactor facility, 27 SCAR will be loaded.

The Leningrad NPP (a branch of Rosenergoatom, part of the Electric Power Division of Rosatom) has exceeded the 2021 plan for the production of isotopes, including meeting the needs of the industry with doped silicon.

In 2021, the revenue from the sale of isotope products from Russia's Electrochemical Plant (part of Rosatom's Fuel Company TVEL) increased by 8% year-on-year, to more than RUB1.6 billion ($20m) for the first time.

Rusatom Healthcare JSC is part of the Russian pavilion at the Dubai EXPO where they organised a discussion on “non energy applications of nuclear technology for addressing global challenges”.

8 November 2021, Glasgow, UK – “Clean Nuclear Energy Day” took place on November 8 as part of the twenty-sixth session of the Conference of the Parties (COP26), held in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The special “Clean Nuclear Energy Day” programme was made possible with ROSATOM’s support.

Isotope JSC participated in 34th Annual Congress of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine on October 20-23, 2021. Due to the pandemic, the congress was held virtually for the second year in a row.

The ROSATOM’s first Sustainable Development Report for 2020 was first posted on the website of the UN Global Compact Network October 1, 2021. The report is qualified rated at level “Active”.

ROSATOM took part in the XXXV Brazilian Congress of Nuclear Medicine (CBMN) as a Gold Sponsor. The event took place in Brazil on September, 3-6. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event was held virtually.

On September, 2-4 representatives of Isotope JSC took part in the second Russian-Italian scientific conference "Challenges of oncology in the era of COVID-19 ", held in a hybrid format in Taranto (Italy).
